Pike Place Dessert Guide

Five Decadent Dessert Spots to Share on Valentine’s Day in Seattle
With February 14th coming up quickly you’re bound to be looking out for a special treat for a partner, friends and family, or hey, even yourself! Chef Liz and Chef Heather have done the research for you and have this list of excellent desserts that are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Barque Brontes- Dianne’s Delights
Nestled below the bustle of Pike Place Market’s upper levels, you’ll find bakers hard at work making their signature treats in Barque Brontes Bakery. Located on Western Ave, this adorable bakery serves up treats from their sister company Dianne’s Delights. Known for their wide assortment of dessert pastries, you can find desserts from colorful Cupcakes to French macarons. Chef Heather’s favorite go-to dessert here? Cookie dough cake pops! Liz’s is the Irish Craic macarons.
indi chocolate
Wind your way over to the Pike Place Market expansion and you’re bound to be drawn to Pike Place Market’s signature bean-to-bar chocolate factory: indi chocolate! Inspired by her daughter’s curiosity in how chocolate is made, owner Erin Andrews made it her mission to create amazing direct-trade chocolate. Favorite sweets are their orange truffles, raspberry chocolate cake, and you just can’t go wrong with their chocolate brownies.
Seleušs Chocolates
Chocolate fit for royalty! A block up from Pike Place Market haute chocolates await you in Seleušs Chocolates. Owner and chocolatier Alexander Long prides himself in making decadent chocolates featuring all-natural ingredients ranging from decadent honeys to rosehips in hand-crafted microbatches. No corners cut along the way! When you stop by, don’t forget to take a photo in one of their signature bedazzled tiaras.
Truffle Queen
Don’t let the name fool you; although Truffle Queen carries amazing dessert products, the truffles they carry are the subterranean Italian fungi and not the chocolate variety! You’ll find that their wide range of italian imports will more than satisfy one’s sweet tooth. Go for their dessert table and you’ll find caramel sauces, lemon curd, pistachio and hazelnut spreads and if you’re lucky their seasonal Oro di Mana spread made from Sicilian ash tree sap. This gem of a shop along the main brick road in Pike Place Market.
Fran’s
Located inside the Four Seasons hotel by Pike Place Market, at Fran’s you’ll be greeted with a smile perhaps even a sample of their signature salted caramel. Fran’s is laregely credited for kicking off the artisan chocolate renaissance in America and you can see taste why with each of their products. Their wide variety of truffles and chocolate bars is sure to please any discening chocolate connisoeur. Fun fact: Fran’s is a favorite of Barack and Michelle Obama since the 2008 presidential campaign!
